Whole house water filter suggestions?

I am looking for a water filter for my entire home.

I would like to have chlorine removed as well as bacteria and chemicals and pharmaceuticals (if possible). I would also like the water to be alkalinized at some point after the filtering.

The aquasana looks okay but I think it only removes chlorine, and I dont see anything on here that says reverse osmosis. Im really not even sure what I should be looking for, for a reasonable price.

Can anyone help?

Will a shower filter solve my hard water problem?

I just moved into a new apartment and water here is EXTREMELY hard. It’s so hard that my skin hurts. My skin’s peeling off (this used only happen during the winter months…) My hands are constantly red just because I wash them like everybody else. My skin is cracking like crazy, too. I didn’t have this problem before I moved in. I’m currently combatting this problem with loads of moisturizers, but this water problem is killing my rosacea ridden skin…
